Materials we work with

We are comfortable across a wide range of surfacing materials. Right now, porcelain is enormously popular, and we understand why. It is dense, low-maintenance, and takes colour well. However, Indian sandstone still holds its own for a warmer, more natural finish, and we source good-quality stock.

How we approach each job

We start with the ground. Always. Poor sub-base preparation is the reason most patios fail within a few years. We dig properly, compact properly, and get the falls right for drainage from the start.

On porcelain work especially, we apply a sealant penetrating impregnator coat once the surface is laid and fully cured. It protects the jointing mortar and keeps the face of the tile clean through the seasons. Not every contractor bothers. We do.
